Tailored Reports
MEF can produce either bespoke stand-alone economic reports to order or can contribute relevant sections to your specialist reports. In an era of growing globalisation, consumers of industrial/sector reports are increasingly demanding authors to demonstrate an awareness of global (economic) risks. With its global macroeconomic database & forecasting model, MEF can readily supply the economic intelligence & scenarios you need quickly & cost-effectively.
In the past, MEF has produced work for clients in the following areas:
- Macroeconomic background - analysing recent/historical developments in countries/regions;
- Budgetary background - analysing recent/historical developments in public finances in countries/regions;
- Macroeconomic Outlook - description/analysis of official forecasts from both national & international organisations;
- Budgetary Outlook - description/analysis of official forecasts of public finances from both national & international organisations;
- Sector Projections - relating the above projections/risks to explicit forecasts for specific sectors/markets;
Recent Work - Assessment of Macro Risks to Public Procurement Budgets
Examples of recent MEF work include contributing to sector reports produced by a specialist consultancy looking at trends in public procurement. By outsourcing work to MEF, the consultancy was able to demonstrate a coherent understanding of the macroeconomic/budgetary risks to public expenditure/procurement in different sectors across a number of major OECD economies. The MEF analysis included a quantitative section whereby official forecasts were assessed & macroeconomic risks where translated into a range of outcomes for procurement across different sectors. Consumers of any type of economic intelligence are increasingly aware of this feedthrough from the (global) macroeconomic level to the sector/market level; any attempt to quantify this can significantly benefit/enhance the quality of the overall analysis.
